"Art Aid Insurance" Original Mixed Media Painting

One of the pieces from my "Ad Series," a body of work that addresses the challenges of being a working artist, "Art Aid Insurance" is a 48" x 24" hand-painted acrylic piece focusing on the lack of affordable health insurance for artists and the difficulties in getting coverage even when one is insured. All text was created by applying rub-on lettering directly to the canvas.

Ten percent of the sale of this painting will be donated to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the eyesight of diabetics.
