"Art Enthusiasts, Inc." Original Mixed Media Painting

One of the pieces from my "Ad Series," a body of work that addresses the challenges of being a working artist, "Art Enthusiasts, Inc." is a 48" x 24" hand-painted acrylic piece based on a true story about a wealthy art patron who collected several pieces of a painter's work from charity art auctions, knowing that they would pay less than retail price and the artist would receive no payment for their work.. All lettering is also hand-painted except for the small black text, which was created by applying rub-on lettering directly to the canvas.

Ten percent of the sale of this painting will be donated to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the eyesight of diabetics.
