"It Takes a Village to Tear Down a Woman" Original Mixed Media Painting

Created during my 2016/2017 Jerome Fellowship, this 30" x 24" acrylic painting incorporates rub-on transfer lettering and explores my feelings about being a woman in the era of the new Trump administration. This particular painting calls out the behavior of adult women and the "mean girl" philosophy of tearing each other down in order to appease the patriarchy.

Ten percent of the sale of this painting will be donated to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the eyesight of diabetics.
