"Pacific Grotto" Original Mixed Media Painting

The first piece in my "Ad Series," a body of work that addresses the challenges of being a working artist, "Pacific Grotto" is a 48" x 24" hand-painted acrylic piece focusing on the lack of affordable live/work spaces for artists, even in so-called "low-income" artist lofts. All lettering is also hand-painted except for the small black text,  which was created by applying rub-on lettering directly to the canvas.

Ten percent of the sale of this painting will be donated to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the eyesight of diabetics.
